DESCRIPTION:The ND Out-of-School Time Summit is back this summer to provide two dynamic days of research-based practices\, information\, tools\, and resources. \nDay 1\, August 5th: \n\nKeynote: Avoid Burnout\, Increase Outcomes\, and Learn to Love Out-of-School Time Again\n\nRejuvenate your efforts with an honest keynote by award-winning educator\, Chase Mielke!\n\n\nBreakout Sessions: \n\nTrain the Brain After School: Executive Function in Action (Learning Beyond Paper)\nBuilding Trust\, Belonging\, and Student Success (Frannie Tunseth\, Teacher of the Year)\nMore sessions coming soon!\n\n\nSchool’s Out: How Out-of-School Time Programs are Shaping North Dakota’s Youth followed by a Q&A panel with those featured in the documentary.\n\nDay 2\, August 6th: \n\nKeynote Presenter: Nicole Bassett (Safe and Civil Schools) will present all sessions on Day 2.\n\nNavigating Student Behavior\nUnderstanding Behavior & Setting Expectations\nConnecting while Correcting\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDELIVERY:  This summit will be offered over 2 days face-to-face.  Please note the difference in start times for each day below: \n\nDay 1 (August 5th) – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM\nDay 2 (August 6th) – 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM\n\nCREDIT:  One graduate credit (15 content hours) will be available through VSCU or 15 hours of ND Registry approved hours (7.5 hours/per day).
