The ND Out-of-School Time Summit is back this summer to provide two dynamic days of research-based practices, information, tools, and resources.
Day 1, August 5th:
- Keynote: Avoid Burnout, Increase Outcomes, and Learn to Love Out-of-School Time Again
- Rejuvenate your efforts with an honest keynote by award-winning educator, Chase Mielke!
- Breakout Sessions:
- Train the Brain After School: Executive Function in Action (Learning Beyond Paper)
- Building Trust, Belonging, and Student Success (Frannie Tunseth, Teacher of the Year)
- More sessions coming soon!
- School’s Out: How Out-of-School Time Programs are Shaping North Dakota’s Youth followed by a Q&A panel with those featured in the documentary.
Day 2, August 6th:
- Keynote Presenter: Nicole Bassett (Safe and Civil Schools) will present all sessions on Day 2.
- Navigating Student Behavior
- Understanding Behavior & Setting Expectations
- Connecting while Correcting
DELIVERY: This summit will be offered over 2 days face-to-face. Please note the difference in start times for each day below:
- Day 1 (August 5th) – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Day 2 (August 6th) – 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
CREDIT: One graduate credit (15 content hours) will be available through VSCU or 15 hours of ND Registry approved hours (7.5 hours/per day).
